High Five, 5 things Friday!

Happy Friday! Here's your High Five (with a special guest star):

Yes, I am home with my children today while my husband prepares for the new school year. He is an adjunct on the campus where I'm a librarian. It's all very romantic.

Anyway, the kids and I have a fun filled day planned that hopefully will include me *not* going insane.

I did my Chest/Biceps/Triceps workout at home this morning. Added a little Turbofire Hiit (20 minutes). Feeling good. No running today.

Here's our fun Blog Hop Today! Are you new? Welcome! Please post and let me know!

Life As I See It [Fitness, Health and Happiness]

So, today I'll be asking some questions. I'll need you all to answer. Kthanks.

1. What's your current favorite "Can't-wait-to-do-it" workout?

For me, it's weight lifting. I'm kind of crazy about it.

2. The Fall TV Premiere season is coming. I realize not everyone cares as much as me, but if you do- is there a show you're excited about returning?

Well, technically it's not part of the Fall TV season, but Doctor Who comes back tomorrow. I've been literally counting down the days with the same intensity I counted down to my due date last summer when I was hugely pregnant.

Other than that, I think I'm looking forward to Modern Family. Also, I miss Lost.

3. If you have kids, how do you deal with birthday requests?

My son's birthday is coming up and every thing he sees on TV or at the grocery store, he says, "I want that for my birthday!" I think the kid is in for some disappointment, especially since he's requested a Shark cake, and I'm not really much of a fancy baker...

4. Do you allow yourself a scheduled "Cheat" (I like to call it a "Treat")? If so, what's your FAVORITE?

We usually have Family Treat Night on Friday night, where we eat a special dessert. My favorite is chocolate moose tracks ice cream :-)

5. Any special workouts/races/events this weekend?

I am going to run Saturday. No set time or distance. I just want to see if I can still like it.

Have a great weekend! High five!

I've been looking foward to and enjoying boot camp sessions this past month. My wife and I got 10 sessions each for £18 through Groupan. It makes a nice change doing cardio and boxing exercises in a group out in the open air.

Zumba, definitely :-)

I don't get the controller much in our house :-(

3. If you have kids, how do you deal with birthday requests?

I tell them it can go on their list (unless dismissed as JUNK from the off), but they know they don't get everything on their list.

4. Do you allow yourself a scheduled "Cheat" (I like to call it a "Treat")? If so, what's your FAVORITE?

BLAGH, at the moment I'm cheating all the time :-(

5. Any special workouts/races/events this weekend?

HAPPY FRIDAY :-)

When my kids ask if I can get them all the stuff they see on Tv I just say if I see it in the store I will look at it, so far that works, but they are only 3 and 4. I am in love with BodyRock.tv. Love their workouts.

Hi I'm following you back from the Blog Hop today.

1.Current Fave workout: Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones. I completed INSANITY about a month ago and wanted to get back to adding weights in.
2. I am excited for football to start!
3. I just tell my kids, "We'll see" when they say they want every toy that flashes on TV.

4. I have committed to not living in guilt when it come to fitness/food. I really think about what I'm going to eat and ask myself if it is worth it. For instance, a bottle of wine=about 5 miles of running. Sometimes its worth it and sometimes its not!!

Haha! I agree with April -- I think about the calories (wine is a good example) and then how many miles I will have to run to get rid of them!

I have a long run (10 miles) on Sunday planned which should be better than normal as it has finally started to cool down! Yay!

Coming in from The Fitness Friday Blog Hop.

I am excited to run and to bike. I am also trying to get excited about doing strength workouts but it ain't gonna happen.

I love The Biggest Loser. Also Blue Bloods.

No kids to say 'no' to.

I work my treats into my day. Don't deprive but don't overdo.

5. Ran a 5k trail race and loved it!

I tried running with no specific time or distance ONCE and didn't like it at all. I'm curious to know how it went for you. Still like it?

Thanks for linking up!

1. I'm loving going my my Bodyworks class lately.

2. Don't watch TV, but my daughter thinks that a new Dr Who episode should be on everyday!
