Thank you all!

Source

Thanks everyone for the feedback on my running situation. Here are some of my thoughts after your input:

1. I agree that I need a break to love running again.

2. Running inside has gotten old, but it's too hot to run outside at the times I'm able to. Nice, cooler weather may make me love it again.

3. I haven't bought new shoes since before I was pregnant with my almost-one-year-old daughter. I bet some new shoes would get me motivated/excited.

4. I don't have to make any decisions today, but I think I'm going to take some of the pressure off. I don't run today or tomorrow, but Saturday is the scheduled 6 miles. I think I'm going to see how I feel Saturday, try a run, with no set distance, and see how I do. After that, I'll have a clearer picture.

Also, I just realized I did a whole post about hating running with *no* pictures of David Boreanaz. None. This is unacceptable.

To make up for it:

Thankful Thursday: Health and Strength

I am thankful for my health.

I am thankful to be strong.

The gun show :-)

I am thankful that I can still pick up and carry my growing 3.5 year old when he needs Mommy to hold him.

I am thankful that when I need to do any kind of manual labor at work (shifting, shelving projects, etc.) I am in such good shape that it doesn't bother me.

I am thankful to be able to run.

I am thankful for the friends I've made because of my love of fitness.

I am thankful for my heroes.

I am thankful that this body was able to grow two healthy children.

I am thankful for days when there is so much activity, when you get in bed, you know you couldn't have squeezed in one more thing.

I am thankful every time someone tells me *I* inspire *them* (it goes both ways!)

I am thankful that fitness accomplishments have taught me I am capable of so much more than I used to believe.

How about you?

Thankful Thursday: Inspiration

This kid sums up how I feel after a good run.

People wonder why I run. This is one of the big reasons.

Take a moment today to list at least 5 things for which you're thankful. I promise, you'll have a better day (and who knows? Maybe you'll make someone else's day better, too..)

Thankful Thursday: Random thankfulness...

I had a great Awesomeday yesterday. I hope your day was awesome as well. This week I decided not to regurgitate everything that was awesome yesterday, and instead just list random awesomeness. It's important to be thankful...
I am thankful for the motivation I get from the folks at Sarah Fitness. I try to be motivating, but I also get a lot from them. So, thanks everyone!
My daughter is quite a diva. She just didn't like that particular fashion accessory that day. But I'm beyond thankful for her, and the fact that every day she is growing and healthy and happy...
A wonderful friend passed on some boy's clothes to my son this week, and he is positively in LOVE with the Cowboy boots. He wants to wear them everywhere. I am consistently amazed at my wonderful little man. I can't believe how grown up he is.
There is not a lot in my life that is organized, as painful as it is for me to admit it. I mean, I'm a librarian (a trained cataloger, no less). However, my coupon binder is finally organized, and I just love looking at it. Soon I will have enough of a stockpile to be organized, and I will gaze upon it, ignoring the surrounding chaos...

Did I mention I'm a half-marathon finisher? I don't have my own car yet, so I haven't gotten my 13.1 sticker to put on it... and sometimes I forget that I accomplished my big goal that I had been working for for over 2 years (lots of obstacles). Now that I've done it, I'm moving on to the next race, which is in September... but I still like to stop and think about it :-)

There are so many things to be thankful for. What are some things for which you're thankful on this Thankful Thursday?
