My husband is in the foot/ankle/orthopaedic field and hates the Vibrams. He said the increase in foot/ankle injuries has doubled since this fad became more popular. For his sake ($$) that is a good thing but he hates to see young, vibrant people deal with life-long, re-occurring injuries because they didn't wear shoes that offered more support and stability.

Having said all of that, it is a personal choice so if people want to continue to wear them then that is their decision but from the gym's perspective I'm sure they don't want people getting hurt on their equipment, possibly having to deal with medical personnel coming in, calling family members to pick up people etc.

april@Party of Five
http://www.westerhold.blogspot.comApril Westerholdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01450415992718748443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8026352438838104426.post-68259427248030459432011-09-20T13:47:19.863-05:002011-09-20T13:47:19.863-05:00I'm not sure I agree with all the posting of t...I'm not sure I agree with all the posting of the rules, seems a bit repetitive. I will say one thing - I have a fractured foot that has not healed in 6 months from wearing Vibrams. I love them but I would not suggest anyone that runs more than a mile to wear them. Just my 2 cents!Lisanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8026352438838104426.post-65318859356376774672011-09-20T13:23:51.262-05:002011-09-20T13:23:51.262-05:00I agree with everything except the Midriff tops.I agree with everything except the Midriff tops.Danzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13249602728008280946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8026352438838104426.post-50110399384333589132011-09-20T13:20:05.694-05:002011-09-20T13:20:05.694-05:00Over the top much?
